Representation of gender in 'Sherlock' and 'The Tudors'

Revision Task Re-watch the clip of 'The Tudors' from the lesson- the link is on the PowerPoint- and read the short essay. Think about Laura Mulvey's male gaze (re-read slide 33 on the PowerPoint), is there evidence that the sequence is presented through the perspective of the male? Or does the sequence subvert the male gaze and challenge stereotypical representations of gender? Remember, the sequence you will watch in the exam will most likely offer COMPLEX REPRESENTATIONS and will not portray characters as simple stereotypes.
